This mask represents Mother Nature. This mask is part of the Ceridwen tribe which means that they are the goddess’s of magic, nature, and agriculture. Colour plays a big part in this mask. The green in this mask shows the grass and the lands and the yellow represents the sun. Green symbolizes happiness, balance, and harmony. Green is a mixture of blue and yellow which means green embraces the mental clarity and optimist of yellow and the clam and insight of blue, inspiring hope and generosity. Yellow is the colour of sunshine. It’s associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. The river creates a clam and tranquil feeling that runs through the valley of Ceridwen. This mask has a very tall crown that has a dramatic drop to define the grassy mountains that were created by the tribe of Ceridwen.

This mask project was very enjoyable and fun to create. I enjoyed painting the mask and mixing the colours to make the complementary colours. I also enjoyed decorating the mask. What I had trouble with is trying to think of a way to make it 3- dimensional in some way.
